Headphone jack broken off in iPad 2

Accidentally dropped iPad2, but it was connected to headphones and only damage done was to the lower half of the headphone jack, that snapped off and got stuck inside, on the iPad's hardware switch

This resulted in the iPad sticking in headphone mode, without the headphones, and without ability to divert sound to iPad's speakers

Looked on line for solution and most popular/?successful involved using Super Glue

Didn't like the idea of using glue as seemed like an imprecise solution and could have resulted in further damage

I fixed the problem with a couple of PC tweezers. Found that the jack pieces were fairly easy to remove, using the tweezers as levers to raise the broken jack from the iPad's headphone switch. Back to normal!
